Movie Reviews:
I
was given an advanced copy of this movie to review after an unedited
version was pirated and posted on the internet. This unedited version
was then illegally watched by the previous reviewer here on IMDb, as
well as the two who wrote nasty things about this movie on the message
board. Basing a movie on unedited clips is unfair and adds insult to
injury after having pirated such footage.
The version of the movie I watched was the full edited soon to be released "legal" version. My overall opinion is that this movie scores an 8 in the independent horror genre. The story was fresh and the acting was above average for a low budget fun movie. Great movie for the Summer and leading up to Halloween. Especially for teens as we meet a group of college kids who decide to rent rooms in a large mansion hosted by a spooky landlord. Weird sounds and a scary ghost start to emerge as the group disappears one by one. The ending takes an unusual twist possibly leading to a sequel?
Great first time appearance for many of the performers, and producers. Nicole Holland wrote the movie as well as plays the ghost of Lizzie Borden. Not bad for her first time out. Hoping to see more from this newest talent from the indie market.
